Description

Note: Select a screw length so it does not penetrate entirely through the wood subfloor once installed.

The enhanced Wirsbo PEX Clips provide better holding power and can be attached together laterally for tight installations. The PEX Clips are attached under the wood subfloor for joist-heating applications. The clip prevents the tubing from coming in direct contact with the subfloor, eliminating the possibility of creating uncomfortable hot spots on the floor above. Drywall screws are commonly used to secure the clips to the wood subfloor.

Incredibly easy to use PEX clips

I'm working on a repair of a 20 year old radiant heat system between the joists of the cellar ceiling. The radiant heat tubing was never correctly installed. You just screw the clips in (with a not included screw appropriate for your situation), place the tubing in the clip and give the tubing a little push. The clip ratchets the tubing into place. I'm a middle aged woman who will try any home repair. This one is tedious but the clips make it much easier than clips I had bought at a home repair store locally.

Quick and easy

Perfect for 1 1/4 coarse drywall in staple up system. Nice gap between tube and floor - used pex-al-pex tube (very stiff) so gap is pretty constant.

Good but could be stronger

These worked much better than the staple up units I had to replace because they were falling out of my old plywood subfloor(the house was built in 73). I would have given a great rating except they do flex quite a bit in the turns. Had to double them up in series to hold the ends of the loops as they rotate quite easilly. If they had a little more strucural rigidity it would be nice.

1/2" Pex Clips

Radiant heating. Put pex up to leave a dead air space, consistent and they hold great.

fantastic product

i love these clips, the tubing snaps in real easy and you can pop the tubing back off if you need to ,the only improvment i would like to see is haveing the screw secured to the clip ,it would make installation that much easier.

Value is in ease of use and time savings

These clips are a breaze to install. I installed my entire under-floor heating system by myself. Pre-installed the clips, then ran the tubing. I could simply just "click" in place. Once the system was up and running, there is no expansion or contraction noise issues.

Very easy to install all that is needed is a screw gun and a drywall screw. Clip has a preformed mounting hole on the inside of clip. Sent from my iPad

Absolutely Screw these. Drywall screws are great! Be sure the screw doesn't penetrate up through the subfloor. Sent from my iPhone

The plates create more surface area, allowing you to run the system at a lower water temperature. You gain 1% in efficiency for every 3°F you can lower the water temperature.
