Easiest way to install Pex
I have worked with different methods of installing Pex (i.e. comp. collar, cinch ring) and have found this method the easiest by far, especially in tight quarters. Sometimes its next to impossible to get the crimping tool positioned to create an adequate compression joint. Not so with the ProPEX Ring and expansion tool, it's extremely versatile and adaptable.

Issue with ProPex Ring
I discoverd that when I hurriedly placed a ring onto 1/2' tubing and then expanded it, that the ring slid down the tubing away from the end. I discoverd that it was slightly wet and that the "stop" was overcome easily in hot humid weather, with either the ring or the tubing was wet.

Too many to fail
Just finished a house rough in, opened a brand new bag to try these out. Had 4 rings that leaked. Can't imagine what would happen on a large commercial site. Look elsewhere.

These No-Cuss Rings Are A Tremendous Time Saver
Rings without stops are always a bit of a challenge, as they tend to slide down the tubing when working in odd positions where holding the ring is difficult. These rings with stops make the job very easy- even with a manual expander in odd spots.
I never knew rings with stops existed until a sibling told me of them. I bought a dozen to try on a job & am sold. I had a fitting deep in a recess where my hand expander fit, but I could not brace a handle against something to free up a hand to hold a plain ring in place. In those situations, putting locking pliers to hold the ring is a time consuming pain. This one was going to have to be copper. But... With these stop-rings, I could hold both of the expander's handles.
They really speed up the job.
