This cartridge is compatible with the following filter housings:
- iSpring FM15B is specially designed for iron & manganese removal, reducing iron (Max 3.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm) and manganese (Max 1.0 ppm down to 0.01 ppm). Fits iSpring whole house water filtration system WGB21BM and most whole house systems that use 10" x4.5" filters.
- Feed water pressure: 20 - 100 psi. Pressure impact: up to 5 psi drop at a flow rate of 8. GPM Flow Rate: 4 - 8 GPM .
- Stable performance at a wider pH range 5.8 - 8.6 and temperature range 40 - 113°F. Filter life: 30,000 gallons at 3.0 ppm iron level.
- Manufactured to comply strictly with FDA standards and tested by independent third party against NSF/ANSI standards.

Excellent at removing iron & manganese
I have a customer who has excessive amounts of iron and manganese in his well water as shown by water quality tests. He didn't have the space for green sand filters. This filter was installed to help with removal. After installation of this filter follow-up tests revealed that while not as effective as a green sand filter the reduction of iron and manganese was significant.

Q: I have a WGB21BM with filters FC15B and FM15B. Which filter is supposed to be the primary, and which is supposed to be the secondary?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi John, thanks for writing in. Those filters are not considered primary and secondary. The FC15B filters carbon and is for chlorine, taste, and odor (CTO) whereas the FM15B filters magnesium and iron.

Q: Top collar of cartridge marked closed/open. Which is normal operating position? Whats the point of these two positions?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffHi Dan. You will need to remove the new filter from the packaging and insert the cartridge directly into the housing, making sure it slips over the standpipe in the bottom of the housing.
