Bought it for spare parts for a faster filter change out.
I have a filtration system just like the one I bought here. It works great. The problem comes in when I am changing out filters and I have to shut off my water supply. Without a water supply I can't properly clean and sanitize the clear housing the way I would like. Therefore, with this new system I have a second housing that can be placed on a shelf in reserve. Next time I change out the filter, I can also change out the housing in short order (about a minute), turn the water back on, and give the pulled housing a thorough cleaning and inspection. After cleaning and inspection I can put it back on the shelf all cleaned, sanitized, and ready to go for the next filter change out.
