Description

This iSpring Spin-Down Sediment Filter is an ideal safeguard prefiltration system. It filters out particulate, sediment, rust, floating objects and other pollutants in water. Serving as a central water filtration pre-filter, this iSpring Water Filter protects terminal equipment and appliances such as downstream pipelines, water purifiers, water heaters, wall-hung boilers, dishwasher, washing machines, and shower heads. The Auto Flushing Module enables the system to flush automatically on a preset schedule, making flushing and maintenance time-saving and effortless. You can use the HD touch screen to adjust flushing frequency, ranging from 1-99 days, and flush runtime (choose from 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 seconds). To fit different plumbing sizes, the unit comes with two types of threads on both ends of the connectors: 1-inch MNPT and 3/4-inch FNPT. Install the system in a dry indoor environment away from heat sources.

Virtually Zero Maintenance

We have been using this filter for almost 3 years now. It's first filter coming off the well. It barely has gotten any attention from us at all, where other filters required frequent replacement and cleaning. What attracted me initially was the Automatic Flushing Module. It is setup to flush the filtered sediment into the septic line and after 3 years that thing is still flushing on schedule, and still running on the original batteries. I think we have manually cleaned out the internal filter screen twice in 3 years. Our well produces about 20 GPM, which is pretty good, and we experience no noticeable loss in volume or pressure through the filter, which was a key requirement in my search for a new filter. We have been doing a lot of construction lately and it's really difficult to find anything that works. This thing works.

Great filter, right sized for the entire house

Supply House had the filter in stock, shipped right away, and had a fair price. I am pleased!

I am very pleased with this product and plan to buy a second

This spin down filter is a very good value for the price. I had a bit of difficulty up front, but Michele was extremely helpful in getting me fixed up and on the right track. Supply House is a very good supplier, and I am happy with their service.

Spin Down Filter Efficiency

I did a good amount of research before deciding on this particular spin down filter model because it has the automatic flush feature. Unfortunately, the 50 micron filter that came with my unit builds up sediment very quickly and required cleaning every couple of weeks. My well water needs multiple stages of filtering and I bought the spin down to safe me money on my second stage whole house filter. The iSpring customer support adds to the overall value of the product. I worked with Nick and he is sending a 100 micron filter to reduce my maintenance and provide replacement o-rings which have stretch from the regular maintenance cleaning.

Questionable 3/4" threads

Decent impression out-of-the-box. Initial installation was easy enough and I could immediately see the screen catch rust particles from our aging galvanized supply pipe. However, the 3/4" connections both soon began leaking. No amount of pipe dope or tighting helped ( tightened as much as I dared, not wanting to damage the unit housing. 2 turns past hand tight ). I eventually ending up using bell end unions on the outer 1" threads to connect to 3/4" pex adaptors. That seems to have done it but its too soon to say I'd recommend.

iSpring Spin Down Sediment Water Filter does the job

I installed the iSpring WSP50ARB 50-micron filter as the first level of filtration along with a 25 Micron Whole house filter. The iSpring product is well made and reliable. The automatic flush feature with flush interval and flush duration work great. Otherwise, I would have to manually flush the filter daily. Because of the substantial amount of sand drawn in by my submersible well pump, a small amount of sand remains in the 50 Micron filter after flushing. I called iSpring Customer Support and got help immediately. Michele is going to provide a 100 Micron filter to help me improve my filtration issue. The friendly and excellent Customer support was refreshing.
