I rent a few homes, and do all of the maintainace on them, I recently learned how pex tubing has been introduced to the plumbing industry, and have found it to be the best form of repairing existing copper water lines, anyhow it's less down time, easy, no torches,no solder, no pipe wrenches, just expand and slip in and your done. and I don't need that Plumber with that PHD degree that took them 4 years of basics and another 3 years of 101 common sense. I found your sales department, very Helpful and knowledgeable, for us that don't have 7 year PHD degree.Pex keep doing what your doing USA>all the way.

Bought this tool about a year ago for a one time Fire Sprinkler Project retrofit in my second home using Pex tubing IAW NFPA 13D, on sale, was a good price, finally got to make about 20-25 3/4 inch joints last week..takes alot of strength, I consider myself no weakling, had it been available and I'd known how much effort it takes to expand the pex tubing I would have bought a Power Expander such as the Milwaukee M12 instead...The extra $$$ would be saved in time and sore muscles..may still buy one...don't buy the manual tool except as a back-up if u are a professional pex installer, too slow and labor/muscle intensive!

I used the tool to re plumb my entire house with Wirsbo pex. First time user and it worked like a charm. Works just like they show in the videos - no problems, just pump and then turn five times and push it on -that's it. 1/2 inch is easy, 3/4 inch takes a little more strength to pump. I look forward to using it again, sometime.

The 1/2" and 3/4" heads expand the PEX piping smoothly and evenly with little effort allowing easy insertion of the PEX fittings. Design is robust for a tool of light weight and should provide years of dependable use.
The 1" expansion head requires considerable effort and physical space to operate the tool so if you plan to use this size in confined underfloor spaces be prepared for the battle.

Have rented one of these for years. Figured when we plumbed the basement in our house, might as well own one.

ProPEX fittings have a unique design in regards to the pattern of the barbed portion that is made to fit with the ProPEX expanding rings. Crimp fittings have a different design. Also note that PEX-A grade tubing should be used when making ProPEX fitting attachments. Lower grade tubing is sufficient with crimp applications.
