Great if you need it
Last winter our house was seriously drafty. We have since then replaced our windows and hope not to have that problem again. But this thing was a life saver during the winter. The temperature variations in our house were huge (freezing in the office, hot in the bedroom) so we could bring the remote where we needed it.
The only gripe I have isn't with the remote but the Prestige thermostat. It is very expensive and I think the programming options should be more extensive. The programming options are pretty basic.

So-So
It's fairly large & heavy. Can be stood on end. Works (somehow) when T-Stat itself is in AUTO Mode. Only has it's own buttons for HEAT & COOL.
Mainly, the display needs to be bolder & easier to read, for my elderly Father to really appreciate the thing.
Probably a mere toy anyway . . .

The Honeywell furnace remote is working well. The female rep who assisted me in connecting to my network was outstanding. Knew exactly what to do.

This unit programs to a thermostat which programs to eim. Eim will not program to remote. Supplyhouse.com suggested this for me and it was just a money grab for them. Resideo said the thermostat is discontinued and will not be available.

Excellent product, works better than advertised.
This remote, used with the wireless thermostat, solved a problem we have had with out two story home, We leave the remote in our upstairs bedroom, and set the remote to control our unit when we are upstairs, then set the thermostat to take control when we come down in the morning. Wish we had this 30 years ago.

A very handy option
I have a 2 story house with the main thermostat on the 1st floor. I bought this to use on the 2nd floor. It was easy to connect to the wireless controller. It's been working just fine. I don't have a problem with it losing the signal anywhere in the house. I used EverReady's lithium batteries so I wouldn't have to change them as often. My only gripe is I wish the LCD display had more contrast - it can be a little tough to read under low light conditions.

I would not buy this product again
It was sitting in my study at home, it just died, replaced the batteries multiple times, one year guaranty probably tells you something. I gave it 1 star because there isn't a Zero available. The instruction don't have any troubleshooting info.

Red link can get through walls my regular WiFi cannot. Thought I needed the internet gateway for the system to work but you do not need that, unless you want to control your system remotely. Easy to link to any red-link device.

Love this remote control thermostat!
I would not have figured out how to program it to my thermostat by the directions if my HVAC guy hadn't told me how. Couldn't find a You Tube instructional video, and there was nothing helpful in the instructions. It only gave me an error code that I should stand 2 ft. away when hitting the Connect button. Easy once I opened my thermostat and used the 4-digit code on the sticker to gain access to the Installer features, and selected Add Device.

Q: 1. Does this remote indicate temperature of where the remote is located? 2. Does this remote indicate temperature of where the thermostat is located? 3. I am looking at this for a visually impaired individual on a fixed income. How large are the numbers indicating set temperature on the remote? 4. I see page 2 of the Equipment Interface Module System Installation Guide shows a direct link from the remote control to the Equipment Interface Module. Can this remote control work directly with the Equipment Interface Module and can the Equipment Interface Module be directly hard wired from an existing 6000 series Focus Pro thermostat? May thanks for your help.

1 & 2.) Yes, the remote indicates either the local temperature at the location of the remote or the main/master remote control. You can select which it will indicate and will control the HVAC system 3) The numbers are not that that big. I would say the main temperature display is around the size of a quarter. The 4) I can't help with this one.

I can help. I installed this unit myself. No 1 yes, current room temperature. No 2 Yes Temperature at Them location. No 3 I am senior also. Numbers are 3/4 of inch . No 4 It is wireless with module on furnace Outside temp has a new module outside. Neither is wired to anything ..Change over is great. I installed . it is wireless.

I am pretty sure you can sync up other devices. I think the instructions tell you how. I believe I may have actually done this with my wireless outdoor sensor.

It depends. If your current remote is one of the Honeywell RedLINK wireless systems then this "should" work, but you best check with the manufacturer to be on the safe side.
