Great for reducing compressor strain
This product installed fast and easy. Directions were easy to follow. The before starting amps on the compressor was 72 amps. After ading this kit the start up amps went down to 54 amps. A lot less strain on the compressor moter for a alot shortwe start up. Also much easier on my whole house generator for start up.

Works as intended
Not much to say... other than it's a traditional 3-wire hard start kit. Incredibly simple and straightforward to install for even a homeowner, however PAY ATTENTION to the instructions where it says to mount the relay with the mounting tab (screw hole) on the UP side. The relay uses gravity as an assist to open up, so if you do not mount it as instructed - you run the risk of the relay sticking closed causing both it and the start cap to fail. They also recommend mounting the start cap vertically as well. Bottom line - read the instructions and follow them (novel concept - right?). As always, remember you're working with electricity... so be safe, ensure power is off and run cap is discharged before beginning any work, and this install shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Easy Install
My HVAC technician advised me to put one of these on my 23 year old AC unit to hopefully get a few more years out of it. The install was easy and it seems to be running smoother and quieter.

Great Hard Start kit Compressor Saver
This is a great product was recommended by the manufacturer of the heat pumps I installed it on and lowered the startup amps saving the compressor and lowering the power used at startup
