A very good HSK

I own an ac company in Prescott, AZ. Been runnin all my own service calls for 41 years n still goin. Have tried other hsk's. These really do the job. I work on a lot of older units-these keep em goin for many extra years. Tried the chineese one. Don't do it. They burn up n one took out a compressor.

Works well, easy install.

Still a great hard start kits that works well & is easy to install. Reduces compressor start-up & running noise, and compressor motor uses 45% less power in both conditions (measured by amp meter). Be sure you mount both the relay & capacitor in upright positions. I've been told the potential relay is assisted by gravity. The capacitor is vented on top near it's terminals. If it ever develops any excess pressure inside from heat it will vent gases to prevent it from exploding. If mounted upside down or sideways, the capacitor could leak it's electrolytic fluid i& shorten it's service life. But with the components mounted correctly this kit lasts a long time. Good value.
