Pretty easy DIY
I don't know how much of difference this made but it was a recommended install by out AC service tech. Their were willing to install it for $290. I did it myself, pretty straightforward as long as you have enough space to work with. Try to install both the relay and capacitor upright if possible. I had to drill a small hole to be able install both upright. I separated the relay and capacitor to maneuver better to install. Take a picture of the connections to help incase you forget. Took about 45 minutes for first time installer like me. Used YouTube videos for reference.

It exploded on my 5 ton unit
I purchased 2 of these for both of my 4ton and 5ton AC units in Arizona and had them installed in May. not even 2 months later I came home to my 5 ton unit not working and the downstairs being warm. I went to the unit and opened it up thinking that the capacitor was not working. Instead I found that the Hard Start Kit exploded. Thankfully, I installed it so it did not do any damage to anything else.
I checked the 4 ton unit and everything looks good, so maybe this product cannot handle the 5 ton units.

Exactly What I needed
Installed this on a 4 year old Goodman heat pump as that's what the troubleshooting manual called for. My daily issue of a Locked Rotor Amp fault hasn't happened in over 2 weeks now. Thanks!

What's the difference?
What's the difference between the enclosed SPP6 or SPP8 hard start capacitor that has two wires coming out of it? Why does this one have a separate gadget that needs to be attached to it? This looks too risky for a short or a shock with all the open and flimsy wire terminals. The enclosed ones are way better and simpler. What am I missing here?

Didn't last 3 months. Not the quality of the old 5-2-1
Old 5-2-1 lasted 4 years. This one lasted 3 months with a potential relay failure. These new 5-2-1's are not the same quality of the old ones.

Works like a charm
This is a great surprise. This device works as described. So many products never seem to live up to expectations.
My compressor unit would make a loud buzz when starting.
Installing this hard start was very simple and it works great. No buzzing upon startup.
