Low cost is worth it!

For only [$] and an expected life of 4 years, small price to pay for neutral condensate.

Didn't work for me

The OEM Condensate Neutralizer didn't work for me, neither did the replacement. The product seems to be of good quality, but it fails me. Don't know if it is a design problem, or do I have too much pressure in my tankless condensate line. Anyway, Takagi emphasizes that the condensate line should be totally unobstructed so the condensate could gravity drain. This neutralizer provides enough of an obstruction that it causes the condensate to drain via the vent holes on top. Had to remove it and go back to using a draine tube without the neutralizer. Don't have any issues without it. Supply House was great to work with and gave me no hard time at all about trying and returning the product. Great service! Will do business again:)

Leaked after 1 month

This part was installed only a month ago to replace the original neutralizer. It clogged with sand and started to leak, so I now have to purchase another one.

Yes

Easy install. I tried to install with a y above the neutralizer but no local providers had that size parts. I put it in just like the plumber did when he installed it.

Neutralizer cartridge lacks some form of indicator.

This product would benefit from a visual indicator that shows end of service life.

Must have

I didn't realize at the time I purchased/installed my tankless water heater the amount of water that would drip from condensation. This is a must have to make the water safe for you yard.

Perfect replacement

I needed to find an acceptable replacement for my Navien on demand gas boiler and this filter/neutralizer was perfect at half the price.

Yes, it's supposed to connect right to the condensate drain line connection at the unit vertically.

Q: Will this work with the T-H3 series of heaters from Takagi? Thanks!

I sure it would. The idea is that as condensate returns down the exhaust manifold, into the unit, it is turns into NO2S acid. If you put that directly into your copper/plastic pipes to be dropped outside it eats the copper/plastic away. Make take years, but in the end it will cause issues. Thus you put a "Neutralizer" in the flow to bring the acid to neutral so it can be disposed of via copper/plastic pipes to a drainage area. I hooked mine into the overtemp waste line and it works fine.
