Yes, the top connections are 1" and the hot and cold water connections are 3/4".
The SUN-80 actually does not have an internal coil. The SUNX-80 model has a coil, and it is single wall.
No, the unit is designed for operation with only 1 heating element.
The SUN-80 is not an indirect unit, and would not be a suitable replacement for an indirect water heater as it has no internal heat exchanger.
