The MV2 Damper Needs Re-engineering
I close my diffuser dampers every fall and open every spring to cut down on heat loss. These are replacement diffusers for ones where I had stripped the damper screw threads by overturning them. When they close tight the seal gets stuck. When you reopen the wimpy screw mechanism can't generate enough torque to overcome the stuck seal. You then have to push on the damper with a long screwdriver to open them. You have to be very careful not to close them too tight and put up with a little heat loss.

Super easy installation
Haven't turned on the AC yet, but it's so simple, I'm sure it'll work fine. For my application, I took out the adjustable damper.
