MVE Ceiling Diffuser w/ 1-Way Grille (8" x 8")

Replacing all of my old style metal box aluminum diffusers with these. Much better airflow and adjustment.

Have two AC systems in my home. AC contractor replaced one system, ducts and old style diffusers with these. They are significantly better, great airflow and easy to balance. I am buying replacements for the second system now.

I needed to direct more AC airflow to my kitchen from a ceiling vent that was just outside the room. I had placed a diverter on the existing 3-way vent to redirect more airflow into the kitchen but it did not look nice or work very well. I replaced the 3-way with this MVE Ceiling Diffuser 1-way and now all the airflow comes to the kitchen in a more gentle manner that I expect will result in helping to better cool the room while looking much better. It was easy to install after I used pliers to rip off the smaller unneeded duct portions. This task was slightly more difficult than expected when the removal tabs broke off immediately. Overall, I am very pleased with the vent and would recommend it.

I have a fairly large master bath w/ 9' ceilings. The circa 1999 ~100CFM bathroom fan/light w/ 4" duct was just too underpowered for the volume in the room and we would get condensation on the walls - especially in winter. I used a mix of metal and flex to duct this 8x8 grille near the shower, a similar 6x6 over the vanity, and the existing bathroom fan (took out the blower and the motor) to the inlet of a new 340CFM in-line blower in the attic with 6" R8 Flex Duct discharging to a new wall cap. Worked Great - Very Quiet and moves a Lot of Air. The 8x8 makes no noise and I had to put my hand to it to feel the draft, the 6x6 grille makes just a little noise from the higher face velocity. I wanted something that wouldn't corrode in the bathroom humidity and was easy to retrofit into a sheetrock ceiling. This was easy to install and looks nice. I bought an adjustable hole cutter for the specified 9-1/8" hole. There is a fair amount of play at that size - that hole could probably be under 9" and still work fine. The swinging clips all extended properly and hold the grille firmly - one of them took two tries to extend.
