Description

The water that is used initially to fill a hot water heating system contains dissolved air. Make-up water subsequent added will similarly have a high air content. Heating this water releases the air and permits it to be circulated in the system, for which it must be vented. The purpose of the Air Purges is to continuously separate and collect any air from the water as it circulates so that it may be vented automatically by afloat air vent without the necessity for frequent manual venting.

Air scoop

Easy to install. Goes on top of expansion tank. Need 1/8" threaded air vent to go on top.

DIY Geothermal closed loop

I created m own Geothermal cooling unit for m greenhouse. It's closed loop pressurized and I needed to purge any air from the system. Having 3/4 inch ports and 1/4 inch air bleed would have been nice. Not sure if that combo is even available but had to adapt both all of those to my 3/4 inch tubing. It's a piece of metal. I will say it leaks... more over it Sweats! I thought it was a leak and tightened the connection close to breaking and a small drop of water forms every day. Even wrapped the connection with Rescue Tape. I have concluded the cold fluid going through the metal housing creates condensation. Just an FYI if you run into the same thing. Don't 'sweat' it!
