1/2" Zinc Liquid Tight Fitting for PVC Jacketed MC Cable and Teck 90 Cable

I consider myself an avid Di'Yer and lifelong learner. After reading, watching videos, asking questions and taking courses I installed my first mini-split. Mistakes were made, corrected and lessons were learned. When I installed a second mini split I came across armored communication/power cable and thought it looked very professional, offered great long-term protection and was what I needed. I was going to be installing the mini split on an interior wall and running cable in an attic space and through an older exterior concrete stucco wall. After finding these connectors I now had the complete package to finish my project. The connectors feel very sturdy, go on without any problem and give me peace mind for longevity and performance. This is basically a water tight MC connection. With the 250' roll of mini split wire (rubber coated) I had to trim the rubber coating back for these fittings to grab properly.I think I only stripped the rubber back about 3/4" or so. The rubber ring inside the fittings "pushed"themselves out when tightening but don't worry, it seemed natural for it to do that. Otherwise, I did not need wrenches to tighten the fitting to compress on the MC cable. It was pretty easy to fully compress by hand.

Not only are they great connectors but also half the price of local HVAC supply houses. The wire they are made for is direct burial 600 Volt and UV resistant. So it is legal to have it exposed outside.

It is the correct4 fitting for the EZ-IN shielded mini split cable and installs easily.

These watertight fittings worked perfectly with 14-4 nylon jacketed armored cable manufactured by Southwire specifically for mini-split ductless A/C systems.

Do the job right, if you're installing mini-split units using the PVC coated MC cable, these are the connectors for you. The only thing I'd like to see Arlington do is incorporate their snap ring instead of a locknut. It would make the assembly of the indoor unit much easier, at least on the Mitsubishi units.
