10" x 4" (Wall Opening Size) 2-Way Plastic Sidewall Register, 1/2" (White)

I purchased 32 units for installation in an oceanside home where the metal registers were rusting -- I was skeptical on the quality based on other plastic registers I have seen from other suppliers -- upon receipt I was not disappointed -- actually impressed on the quality - after installation -- the h/o ask me had I not installed plastic registers as he had requested --- once installed they actually looked better than the metal type -- plus the airflow control was functional !

Be careful about size. The standard opening is 10x4, but in imperfect real life construction, there is frequently intrusion into this dimension by bent conduit, or drywall mud, etc... such that the actual opening can be a bit less than exactly 10x4, especially in the corners. All metal vent covers I have used in the past have an insert dimension slightly smaller than 10x4 to accommodate irregular opening size. Not these. They are exactly 10x4, and strong plastic, so if your vent opening is anything smaller than exactly 10x4 and perfectly straight all the way around, these will not fit. I can cut down the drywall, but it requires a fair bit more work to modify the metal vent conduit. This could be a perfect product if they had designed it with just a tad smaller insertion dimensions to accommodate typical construction imperfection. Now I have a big box of worthless plastic.
