This product is great for those applications where SS is required or resistance to corrosion for extremely had water or water with high salt content. The only negative is the size scale of the product is small and the smaller size can hinder certain applications.

I purchased this ball valve because it was manufactured from stainless and was a quarter-turn valve with a large port opening. The valve is everything I wanted in a stainless valve, material wise and quality wise it's a great product. Where it falls down is that the port is advertised as being a "full flow" design with an internal port diameter of .400 inches. I measured the internal port and it's actually only .360". That may not be an important item for most applications but for my use it was a deal breaker. Instead of using this for a main service, it's been installed in a secondary role that's not as demanding. For the main service it's been replaced with an Apollo stainless ball valve with a measured port opening of .750". I wanted to use it because it's so compact but unfortunately, the specifications from Boshart were not accurate, they need to be updated.
