This mini ball valve works well with a 1/8" Hy-vent
This little ball valve works well with a 1/8" Hy-vent for installing on an air purger on a circulating water heating system. The Hy-vent has a small metal tab on the bottom, projecting below the threaded insert. I was concerned that this metal tab would interfere with the action of the ball on the ball valve. But, the metal tab when the Hy-vent is installed in the ball valve is sufficiently above the ball mechanism so that there is no interference. So, no problem.
This mini ball valve will allow me to repair or replace the Hy-vent in the future while the heating system is in service.
Also, the quality of the mini ball valve was quite good. Better than I expected.
