Works well, but I liked the older model better.

This new model has a delay before the heater comes on. This is a disadvantage and an advantage. The hot water does not come as quickly as the in old model, however if there is air in the water line, this delay might give enough time for the air to be expelled. If the heating element comes on while there is air in the chamber, it is destroyed in seconds and costs about $50 to replace.

Slow start

Single commercial bathroom sink use. I own a much older eemax unit, circa early 2000's. It is great, hot water in 2 seconds. This newer unit has a 3 second delay until the relay kicks in. Then another 2 seconds until the water is hot. Add one more to get to the faucet and I waste 6 seconds of water until it is hot. For most quick hand washers the water is not hot during use. Called tech support and they said "yep" that's the way it should work.
