I would buy this product again

I have installed this fan for two back to back bathrooms a month ago. I used the existing fan cases. I cut out a 4" dia. hole on the top of the cases and attached a flexible insulated air duct to it. I tried to keep 8' distance between the fan and the cases to reduce the noise. So far it's working fine. We hear air moving noise that is low not the motor noise. The fan has been delivered without any problem on time. We really like our new bath fan.

Not what I expected for quiet operation

This fan system with a remote fan was advertised as being so quiet you won't know it is on. I purchased it for our master bath specifically for that reason and because I wanted two heads in different areas of the bath. First fan came and was installed and was so loud I believed there was something wrong with it. I returned it and the replacement was just as loud. I actually set them up side by side on my workbench and compared them. The motor IS very quiet but the noise of the air going through the vent was obnoxious. I returned the second fan and tried the next smaller cfm fan, the 135 cfm version and although quieter was still a long way from being "so quiet you won't know it's on." It helped to use the insulated duct and to make the runs from the heads to the fan as long as possible. We are living with it but I think I would have been better off with a substantially lower cost, low sone standard unit with motor in the head. Even the Fantech unit in our other bathroom (fan is in the head) is quieter than this one. If you are considering one of these systems, buy the smallest fan you can reasonably use

Works as it Should

The product works very well, but the reasons for less than a 5-star review are poor documentation from the manufacturer and insufficient space in the junction box for connecting the electrical wires.

I would buy this product again

Perfect for moist air removal. Little bit more noisy than 110 CFM one but there is a significant difference in performance between both models. Very happy with this product

It is small but moves moves alot of air. It is also energy efficient and very quiet. What more can you ask for. I almost forgot it is also made like a tank but not heavy. Very well made. Simply the best out there and I have tried many different brands but keep comming back to fantech. Save yourself some trouble and jest buy fantech.

Competitive pricing and fast shipping

This is my first purchase form SupplyHouse. I compared prices, and this one was the most competitive, and included fast shipping. This Fantech fan is well built, powerful, and quiet. Fully met my expectations. When I looked inside, I noticed that the motor was Made in Germany, which (in the era of cheap Made- in-China stuff) is a badge of quality. The only thing that would make me feel better would be to see Made in USA badge. Unlikely to happen under current brand of globalist capitalism we practice in this country. But I'll keep dreaming.

Fantech does not have a Sone rating for this unit because it does not meet sound testing criteria,as they are installed in non-living spaces such as attics.
