Enclosed Relay 10 Amp SPST & Override w/ 10-30 VAC/DC/120 VAC Coil

Does its job. I use two of them to close the XX switches on two separate boilers from one Taco SR 506 control, because you can't use the one XX switch on two separate boilers' 24V transformers in parallel. This relay has only one LED that lights as long as the relay receives 24V power. It needs at least one additional LEDs to indicate whether the relay switch is open or closed, and maybe one more to indicate if the manual override switch is on. The box has two more holes that seem to have been intended for additional LEDs that were not installed at the factory, presumably to save a few pennies!

This relay makes wiring a 3-wire, smart thermostat like Nest or Ecobee to your simple 24-volt steam heating boiler and eliminates the low water power loss problem.

I'm a retired HVAC tech and have used RIB relays often and in many different applocations. The relay most recently purchased, from Supply House, is being used as a circ pump relay on a high efficiency ng boiler I just installed in my home. I wanted the manual "ON" contact over ride function to enable me to easily operate the circ pump for system air removal without firing the boiler. Very reliable and easy to install product. The manual override switch makes it easy to test and troubleshoot or simply turn off connected device without messing with a controller that operates it.
