- The check valve can be removed from the pump housing using needle-nose pliers
Compatibility & Applications:
- Listed for use with UP(S) FC SuperBrute UP15 and UPS15 circulator pumps
- Fits Grundfos UP 15-42F (part number 59896155)
- Must only be used where the manufacturer specifies this exact part number: 596630
Installation & Operation Notes:
- Installation should be performed by a qualified hydronic/heating technician or plumber
- A check valve can be removed from the pump housing using needle-nose pliers. Confirm no part of the valve remains in the housing after removal
- Practical fit/assembly notes:
- The check valve goes into the outlet port from the outside
- When reinstalling the pump, new gaskets are not required if existing gaskets are in good condition
- System setup notes from documentation (general UP/UPS installation guidance):
- Flush/clean the system before installing the pump
- Install the pump with the motor shaft horizontal and follow the flow-direction arrows on the housing
- Isolating valves on each side of the pump are recommended for service access
- Do not start the pump until the system has been filled; do not run the pump dry

Gets the job done.
This one way valve popped right in and seems to be doing exactly what it's supposed to do. The plumber who installed the pump used one without a check valve which caused us to need to run the pump 100% of the time or else, the cold and hot would mix in varying amounts at different sinks. I guess he was used to installing recirc systems in commercial applications. Anyway, having the check valve located inside the pump body keeps from adding one inline. I installed ball valves on either side of the pump so in future it will be quick and easy to replace the check valve or pump.

Part was right but try to get the old check Valve out of a cast iron body circulator pump. And try to get new check valve back in not happening.

I would buy again if needed
My old valve separated and the spring inside stopped my pump from turning. I searched all over locally and couldn't find the valve at any of the supply houses. Searching on line I found Supply House and they shipped and delivered my new valve the next day. Very fast service.. I would recommend SH to anyone needing a part.

Exactly What We Needed
We were having issues with our hot water continuously turning cold with our on demand water heater. Turns out, a check valve was never installed on our hot water recirculation pump and cold water was working its way back up the line and mixing with the hot water. This part did the trick and we now have hot water throughout our brewery and taproom. Also, much cheaper than many of the supply houses and half as much as our local one, even with shipping.

Easy fix to No Hot Water
was getting stumped in why I had no hot water... was my recirculation pump dead? was it something?
as it turns out this valve kit (sits at the bottom of my Grundfos pump) had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.
Supply house had the part, quick shipped, reasonable price ...
now we have hot water!
