1" Standard Silencer Clamp

I used the 1 inch size silencer clamp to attach my AC condensate drain line to the siding trim. I wanted a pipe clamp that would not corrode, would provide a good appearance and be easy to install. Since these are exposed to the weather I'm hopeful they will last several years. My only comment is they are a bit pricey but if they last...no issue.

I purchased some of these for an open loop geothermal system that is constantly using water from our well and is all plumbed with 1 inch copper pipe. The HVAC company installed metal clamps that attached to the wall and ceiling, and when the geothermal system runs the water noise is loud enough that we need to raise our voices if standing next to it, and we could also hear the roaring quite a bit in the rooms next to it as well. The walls and ceiling were basically resonating the roaring noise of the water. After replacing the metal clamps with these, the water noise is 95% GONE. We can stand next to the furnace and the water noise is so minimal that it's no longer an issue and we can talk in a normal voice. In the adjacent rooms we can barely hear the geothermal system running now, which is a huge difference from before. These clamps are pricey, but are well worth it to resolve areas with high water noise. They are of good quality too. The plastic parts have some flex and do not crack, and the inside part seems to be made of silicone which will stand up to the hot water pipes too. Overall a great product!!
