Yes they will work with either or both types of thermostats.
Yes it will work w dual fuel, with heat pumps.
Its impossible to say, there are many ways to zone a systems especially if its only 2 zones.
it does not support a humidifier
i don't have the specs on the EMM3, the HZ322 is a zoning panel
Yes Sent from my iPhone
I use power open, power close dampers such as RRD 6 type with no trouble with this panel. Sent from my iPod
Absolutely! The panel supports 2-wire and 3-wire dampers.
I am not sure. My installation consisted of only honeywell products. He will need to contact Honeywell directly to verify if the dampers are compatible with board. Regards Reginald Fequiere
I have a 2 wire setup using the hz311 kit, according to the 322 and 311 manual, it will handle those dampers. I have owned the kit for almost 2 years with no problems on 3 zones. just verify you don't have more than 2 stages of heat/ cool on your furnace/AC. Good luck! Jamie
I am a homeowner not an A/C man. Looking at my HZ322 board, it does have electrical connections for common, power open, and power closed. My dampers are power closed, spring open so I only use two of the electrical connections. But, I don't see why it would not work with all three for your application.
I've never had an issue with the fan turning on. The zone control panel interprets all these functions. dampers open and then the heat pump, furnace, or AC turns on. The "purge" time, however, is programmable and lets you decide how long you want the fan to run after a heat or AC cycle to purge the residual warm or cool air from the ducting system.
I don't think you can program it but I know there is a delay that starts the fan before the furnace will kick in. I hope this helps Joe
I don't believe so, however the system appears to default all zones open when the system is not running, so they should all be ready when on call.
Vic, If your running a zone in your home it is code to have a bypass installed. This will take the pressure off the system if the pressure is to high. I have honeywell dampers in my system and they only take about 5 seconds to open up. I hope this helps.
No, it will not do that. The DATS is primarily for a multistage system. It will stage the system up or down (if configured to do so) if the discharge air temp gets too high (heating) or too cold (cooling). On a single stage system, as far as I know, it will just display the discharge temp which is helpful for monitoring or troubleshooting the system. For example, during cooling an abnormally low temp could mean a clogged filter, etc. I hope this helps!
It provides equipment protection. Over/under temp conditions will cycle off equipment. It does NOT open dampers during these conditions. Sent from my iPhone
The DATS will downstage heat/cool outputs within 10 deg of setpoint and shut off output at setpoint. It won't open dampers at trip. Dampers react only to heat/cool call from tstat regardless of DATS state. () _ () _ () _ () .
Actually, the logic is in the >>zone controller<<, which uses any over-temperature signal received from the DATS to shut down the strip heat (HP) or close the gas valve (gas) when an overtemp is detected. So it's a "must have" safety control to keep from frying your ducts. The controller I have does not attempt to correct for overtemp by opening other dampers and I haven't see any programming logic to do that in any of the 3 units I have worked with in the past. Hope I helped.
The DATS allowed me to setup my zone controller with high & low temp thresholds. When the thresholds were tripped, the zone controller cut out the heat or AC, opened all dampers, and just ran fan to purge the ducts. The DATS itself is just a sensor, but it's the sensor that allows the zone controller to have all that logic. Sent from my iPhone
According to the manufacturer, an HZ322 can work with a THM4000R wireless adapter and a C7089R1013 wireless outdoor sensor. If you are controlling a heat-pump with one compressor stage plus electric strips, the HZ322 can use the outdoor sensor to lock out the strips if the outside temperature is above the multistage OT lockout setting. There is no other reason to use an outdoor sensor with an HZ322 unless you also have wireless thermostats. If you have TH5320R or TH6320R thermostats with the HZ322, THM4000R, and C7089R then the outside temperature can be displayed on each of the wireless thermostats.
yes it will support outside temp it is a wireless out door temp and humidity sensor part # C7089R1013
Yes, you can hook up a wireless OT sensor. You will need the Wireless Outdoor Air Temp Sensor C7089R1013 and the Wireless adapter THM4000R1000
