The ZD is a power close and spring open damper. It has a 24-volt motor used to control circulating air in heating, cooling and ventilating systems. It is used when a normally-open damper is required. The ZD is typically used with the TrueZONE systems and other electronic zoning systems.

- Adjustable range stops.
- Mechanical visual position indicator for damper status.
- Solid construction using extruded aluminum frame and blades.
- Parallel blade design for low leakage performance.
- Quieter operation with fewer blades.
- Simple, easy-to-wire, two-wire installation.
- Reliable, strong, 24-volt spring-return motor.
- Fail-safe, normally open operation.
- Compatible with conventional and networked zoning.
- Ordering Instructions: Order ZD (dimension 1) x (dimension 2). (Motor is always mounted on dimension 2 side.) For example, ZD10x8 is a 10 in. x 8 in. damper with the motor on the 8 in. side; but a ZD8x10 is a 8 in. x 10 in. damper that has the motor on the 10 in. side.
- Damper can be installed in any orientation (mounting side can be on either the bottom or the side of the duct).

Much better design than the Aprilaire
I replaced an older Aprilaire normally open damper that wouldn't spring back open. The spring was ok and so was the motor but the design was so poor it wore out over time. The Honeywell is designed significantly better on the internal mechanism. It also has an indicator for blade position, LEDs for open/closed, and a tool less adjustable bypass from the outside. Takes minutes to install and I'm back up and running with my zone system. Special thanks to Supply House who always ships so fast. Much appreciated when my HVAC system is down!

Top notch service for exactly what was needed
This new style damper replaced a 20 year old model that had failed....nothing like having no AC upstairs while the downstairs is like a refrigerator.
Installation and hook-up were ultra-simple....a simple swap-out
Once installed the damper worked just as expected, with the added benefit of being able to vary the 'closed' position off of 'full-closed' to 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 closed.
The great price and ULTRA-FAST SHIPPING (received in 1 day, shipped from OH to IL) were bonuses!
I would strongly recommend SupplyHouse for all of your needs....I know that they will be my first stop when I need anything

Much better product
I replaced a AprilAire Zone Damper with a Honeywell TruZone. Wow! Truezone is built so much better and provides a better seal. Not as much whistling. Does not have rubber bands like the AprilAire. This one is definitely better quality. Unlike AprilAire, Truezone has a indicator for damper position. Makes troubleshooting much easier.
