Equipment Interface Module (EIM) for all Prestige IAQ and new RedLINK VisionPRO Thermostats

Save snaking wires, use a battery thermostat (vision pro 8000 or other…) 2 wires or no wires allows your thermostat full control of your hvac.

EIM's worked great and was able to have the facility wireless from the stat to the modules for the equipment control as wiring was not able to take place due the the structure.

Works Great!! Used to control 2 zone radiant floor heating. As a DIY Had difficult time finding info On how to wire and program for radiant Floor heating. Honeywell tech line wasn't any help. Told me I needed to call a contractor. (This was on the residential tech line) After the fact, It is a very easy install once you know what you are doing.

Remote control and alerts make this a great way to keep track of a space you don't use that often. Connected to my old system and brought it into the 21st century. I bought it but had the hvac guys install as it need to be wired into the system then connects to the thermostat. I did the redlink stuff myself.

The EIM concept is wonderful, but quality of the unit I have has been questionable. The unit came in with one of the connectors soldered to the board backwards, making wiring a pain for the sensors, since the leads needed to cross the board. That I could live with, but inside a month, the same unit failed to activate both the W1 and W2 outputs, and with my heat pump set to lock out at 20 def F, in the recent cold snap in TX, that left me with *NO* heat overnight. I can only hope that this is a fluke (Friday, 4:59 build?) and that the replacement will be solid as I have had excellent results with Honeywell products in the past, and have had stellar results with this overall system, other than this failure.
