Yes they are the same. The /U is used in Honeywell to identify the pack quantity. U is unit or single. /B is bulk and is usually reserved to OEM. /P is pallet and also usually reserved for OEM.
This valve must be used with one of the actuators listed under the product description. The V5013N1071 is made of brass, which is sufficient for closed systems.
The same pipe fittings as the other 2 ports. You cannot block or otherwise shut off the bottom port of the valve. If you shut off the bottom port, you are likely to have severe water hammer and reduced life of the valve. Any modfications to the valve will also void the warranty on the unit.
