Temp. Probe
Used this in connection with a digital programmable thermostat on a wood stove boiler to precisely measure the temperature of the water in the tubes in the stove. Probe is well built, easy to install and works great. I have two high dollar temp. gauges also in the system and the probe is very accurate.

Worked perfect
Modified my 2 HERMS system Gott coolers for my strike water and mash ton. Used red rtv to seal and a washer on inside and out and a A-338 nut from Lowes Use the A99-bb sensor with a419 controller. Worked perfect.

Great accessory for electric controllers
I use the product as an an accessory to provide an aqua-stat for a pump that provides freeze protection. I have a garage sink located where the pipes could freeze. I use the pump to circulate the water in the piping any time the water temperature in the pipes drops to 45 degrees F and it turns the pump off at 65 degrees F. The immersion well allows the aqua-stat to actually read the water temperature in the water pipes. Pex supply was good at coordinating the accessories for the controller. My previous experience was that it took a lot of research to find the right well for your control.

This item is a temperature well, the thermistor(sensor, probe) goes in to it and is secured with 2 screws.

In my application, the ½” well is threaded into a 6” pvc water line. The temperature probe with cable attached slides into the well. The cable is attached to the thermostat. Hope this helps.

Q: Is the well made of copper or does it come in stainless steel?

It is brass. I don't know if it's available in stainless. Honeywell and other manufactures make them in stainless.
