3" Socket Saver

I used this product to reuse 3' PVC fittings when I am in a jam and can not remove the existing fitting. It has helped me in one situation, but I used it again in another, and did not seem to come thru for me. To use this tool one has to be patient and not rush the task at hand, because it could tamper with the hub of the fitting and the fitting would have to be replaced completely

Not as good as the Reed but didn't spend as much as the reed one. Works fine as long as you keep it straight and don't go too far. I do wish the shank was 7/16" so it would work with milwaukee's quick-lok.

These look very similar to the ones I bought at my plumbing supply house but the small difference in quality of metal and craftsmanship makes a big difference

Well worth the price! I bought the 3". You do not need to salvage too many 3" fittings to get your money back. In my case, doing some renovations, I did not have space for extra fittings and I needed to utilize a fitting in place. This was great!

A contractor used 3" PVC while building our retaining wall. The PVC was supposed to be for fence pole placement and removed before the wall was poured. For some reason, the laborers left the PVC and didn't install the poles as was planned. Long story short, I used the socket saver to remove the PVC from the wall and was able to install the poles as planned. Excellent tool. I drilled out 22 12" pieces of PVC.

Use plugged in, fast drill. Worked great and the new pipe was snug.
