2" Socket Saver

It worked well if you go slow. I was able to grind out the old PVC pipe out of the fitting. A new PVC pipe was joined with the reused fitting, using a solvent weld, and no leaks.

Reemed out coupling inside the wall. Had it not been for the tool it was going to be a more involved repair.

For the price it got it done, but I think if you are planning to do several, I would invest in the more expensive set. But bottom line, it got it done..

I was able to make my way threw the schedule 80 pipe but it was a long slog.I needed to modify the first washer to make it into a cutter in order to make it work. I would never try this on a schedule 80 again but I would recommend it for the schedule 40. It did work with no leaks. 40 psi.

Works great. Did the job that needed to be done, no issues.

A friend of mine had their bathtub removed and replaced with a tiled shower stall. The butcher (they don't deserve the title "plumber") reduced the 2" PVC shower strainer to 1-1/2", the size of the prior tub drain. Well, sorry other U.S. states but that doesn't meet Massachusetts State plumbing code. I saved the homeowner and effectively the shortcut special butcher/handyman a boatload of grief by bringing the PVC shower strainer back to 2 inch with this miracle tool instead of having to break up the tile and install a new strainer. This tool is worth every penny. FIVE STARS.
