This has been a godsend...
Caveat emptor failure on my part...I should have measured how deep my water meter was before ordering this. I really should have gotten the 36" version as my meter is WAY down there. Anyway...this works just fine...the handle is just very close to the ground. This is still WAY better than trying to reach down 2' with a Crescent wrench.

A must have tool (before you need it)
A tool you need handy at all times, and not looking for when water is flooding everything.
I like a secondary main shutoff in the house but when it's not possible this is the tool you need for quick water shutoff for emergency's or repairs.
