4" 90° Galvanized Adjustable Elbow - 30 Gauge

A couple fell apart before they could be used. Supply house replaced these but they also have a very short crimped end (5/8 or 3/4") which doesn't give it much of a taper so it is difficult to get it inserted into the pipe you are connecting to.

I bought 10 of these. When it arrived 2 of them had came apart, I snapped them back together. I ordered these for dryers on a few of my projects. Most of them came apart while assembling a short run. If you order be sure to foil tape the entire elbow or they will come apart.

I used these elbows as part of my gas dryer vent system. They are made of heavy gage material which always should be used instead of that thin gage stuff.

Great product. My only complaint is that sometimes they come with a thin layer of oil on the surface. This has to be washed off to be able to apply aluminum tape to the fittings. Some orders there does not seem to be the oil issue.

I have one issue with the 4" elbows and this is from the manufacturing side. There is a fine oil on the product that prevents aluminum tape from sticking. Due to the fact that dryer vents can not be connected with screws this makes connecting the vents difficult. I have to wash the elbows with de-greaser to get them clean of the oil. Just though you might want to know. Not sure if this can be fixed. I am probably the only person that has complained about this. Thanks, Gary Kibbe, SLO Dryer Vent Cleaning
