HD60 Hot Dawg Natural Gas Power Vented Heater (60,000 BTU)

I bought this heater 15 years ago. I installed it in my 32' x 40' pole barn, with 12' ceilings. The heater itself is mounted with 6" of the ceiling on the included angle brackets. I bought heavier chain to hang my unit. I kept my building heated at a 62 degree F temperature, during the winter here in Ohio. I turn it on in late December through the end of march, when it is at its coldest and snowiest. I have a single switch wall mounted power switch with a red light on it, to let me no when power is on and off. Works great. So for heating a 15,360 sq ft building...thus module heater does the job excellent. I'd buy it again if I needed another unit. Its the perfect size for my application. A buddy of mine has a 75,000 BTU which is overkill for his 2 car garage. He turns it on and off constantly because it gets too hot quickly. He should of bought a 30,000 unit which would of operated best. I paid $495.00 way back when I bought mine. I had no repairs, no new computer boards or anything. I do open the side covers and vacuum out the sawdust and dirt that accumulates in the Heater itself. I tried placing a furnace filter on the intake side, but it choked the heaters airflow too much, so I scrapped the idea. Just best to vacuum it and keep it clean. I'd buy another one in an instant without hesitation, there that good. Well modines hot dawg series are the best.

I put this heater in a 2 1/2 car garage, it works great!

I haven't installed the heater yet, my house is being built. This will be my garage heater, I got the hot dawg 60,000 btu heater. After buying it I was told I probably could of gotten the 45000 size. Garage is 26'28'
