The Panasonic FV-30VQ3 WhisperCeiling 290 CFM fan features a totally enclosed condenser motor and a double-tapered, dolphin shaped bladed blower wheel to quietly move a large amount of air at reduced RPMs, so it's quiet enough that you might not even know it's on. With a 2.0 sone level and rated 290 cubic feet per minute, this fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years due to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. We designed the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. The fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust. This Energy Star qualified fan has a built-in damper to prevent back draft, which helps to prevent outside air from coming through the fan. Covered by a manufacturer warranty for period of three years from the date of the original purchase.

This is the minimum cfm to actually do something
I use this fan on most of my bathroom renovations. 6 Inch insulated hose and a 6 inch roof cap.
Can't beat that combination for a humid bathroom.

His fan works!
Removed a two year old Delta exhaust fan located near the bathroom door, installed the Panasonic fan above the tub. No more moisture condensing in the mirror or light fixtures. Clears the room quickly. Not quiet but very happy that it works well.

Really Great Fan
I installed this fan in the dropped ceiling in a church nursery in a partial basement with previous mildew issues. The fan was a little heavier than expected, so I had to mount it similar to a garage door opener, but it was well worth the work to install. I paired it with a wall mounted humidistat and it kicks in and ventilates the space really well. Parents have commented about how they've never felt the space seem so dry before. The fan is not silent but is definitely not too loud. I'd recommend spending a little extra on this good quality fan.

This fan sucks
The Panasonic WhisperCeiling 290 cfm bathroom fan is just what you need if you don't want any fog in your bathroom. It is a little hard to install but well worth it.

Q: What size is it length, width, height, How much does it weigh? Does the mounting secure to ceiling rafters above the bathroom attic or Is the unit installed from the bathroom up or from the attis down? Is the 6" discharge vent centered in the midle of the unit for venting appliation to outside soffit? I need to make sure it compatable with area to be mounted and then would like to place the order asap. Your information would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you, Gerard
