Great for automotive work

I am a automotive mechanic by trade but repiped my own house a few years ago so I ended up a lot of extra because a jar of this goes a long way - much further than the 1200sqft house of mine with mostly PEX-A connections, as I used this in place of pipe dope on threaded connections. I was working on VW Mk6 GTI that was back a 3rd time after leaking coolant again, frustrated, I bathed all the gaskets in this stuff, hasn't had a single drop leave the closed cooling system since. The 500F limit is more than enough to handle the temperature that it will see (190F is where the temperature levels out, 270F is DANGER). I used it to lubricate and seal gaskets between the (high pressure) fuel rail and injectors, I use it now on my shop's compressed air system, literally anything I can justify using it on. My shop buys this stuff by the case, and I've turned on my friends and colleagues in the automotive world to this stuff.

Product failed - Do not buy.

I'm an HVAC contractor who uses nylog blue on ductelss systems - it's a great product and works every time. I thought, why not nylog white for my hydronic projects? I bought two jars and used them on every threaded fitting. Almost all of the connections failed. Some of them failed days after I thought the install was complete. I had to go back to the job several times to redo connections I had already made with Teflon tape. This stuff cost me several thousand dollars and put my reputation in question with a key client. Don't make the same mistake. Use something else.

Great Stuff

The Best "thread sealant" On The Market. I Dont Like That They Advertise It As A Thread Sealant. Pipe Dope Isnt Inteneded To Seal Threads. It Lubricates And Acts As An Anti Sieze. That Said There Original Version Was Better But The New Version Is Still The Best Thing Available On The Market.

Be Careful What You Use It For

I Used It For Hot Water And It Did Not Work Well. I Do Use It For Gas Piping And It Works Great

The clear Original version is amazing

I am an HVAC and Plumbing Contractor. I have been using the clear original version for 2 years now and the stuf is amazing. This product really performs best when it comes to sealing rubber gasket material. I have used it on extremely dried-out rubber gaskets in impossible conditions and this stuff works better than anything I've ever used. Plus because it's clear it looks so much cleaner and professional the customers think you're a magician. I HAVE NOT HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT the latest "white" color version of it. I actually went to a local vendor and purchased several hundred $$ of the old stock original version so i will be all set for a few years. I hope they go back to the clear stuff

Best sealant You can buy

I'm service plumber and boiler technician . This stuff really makes your joints look clean. Love that it's clear and blends in. With using it it does require tightening a little bit more but with the silicone it allows the threads to glide easily
