Hi, I used it to power a uv lighting system since it needed a 24vac power supply and i didnt want to use the existing transformer. As long as the device you are using requires less than 40va power i assume it should work. Just check the existing device you are replacing or check requirements if the new device you are installing. This transformer provides the 24 volt signal to the relay box on any furnace, gas, oil, or electric, and any cooling system or combo system, as long as you have the relay box attached to the furnace. You just need to select your input voltage to the transformer by using the color coded input wires which correspond to your input voltage.
This product could fit any number of HVAC system as they all run from 24 V AC. As long as its ampacity (40VA or about 1.6Amps) is adequate it is very likely a fine replacement.
