Perfect replacement for old relay
I bought this relay because I needed one with a c wire connection. The new relay was the exact same size as my old relay. Even the mounting holes lined up. The unit was easy to wire and works great.

Yes this is a modern upgrade to the old relays
I have yet to figure out how to have my WIFI thermostats always powered, and also have the boiler low temperature cutout, shut off the circulators. I have them on and because the loops are small, the boiler does catchup.

Versatile Controller
Retrofitted two of these in my hydronic heating system, coupled with a zone control valve. The system was built with pumps that do not isolate the water heater and one other zone when turned off (the heat continues to flow driven by the main circulator pump). By using these units (with one obvious jumper) I was able to have an additional low voltage zone valve (normally closed to isolate the loop) open first (using the delay part of the unit) and then apply power to the pump (120v), thereby preventing "dead-heading" the pump.
These units have been running constantly for about a year now with no problems (I just purchased a third to keep as a backup as these are now critical parts of my system).

Flexible unit - works well
My project was to add zone isolation valve to a hydronic circuit in which the boiler pressure caused the water to flow through the loop even when the loop's pump was not running. I used this relay to take the 120V power for the pump (disconnected), convert it to 24V for the valve (see accessories) and then when the valve opened (switch built into this particular valve) to 120V to activate the pump (using the built-in relay). Neat system, solved the problem completely.

So far so good
Used this relay to control the duct blower for a wood stove (boiler) heating system install. Installation was easy, instructions were fairly self explanitory. So far there have been no issues, only time will tell though.
