The lead-free Heatguard® 110-D is a Temperature Actuated Mixing Valve that mixes hot water with cold to deliver tempered water at a controlled temperature to 120°F (49°C) maximum and is designed to assist in the prevention of scalding.
The Heatguard® 110-D is intended for installation at the water heater to distribute controlled temperature water through a domestic hot water system.
The SharkBite® Heatguard® 110-D incorporates a fast acting, high quality thermostatic element that senses the outlet water temperature and reacts to maintain a stable delivery temperature even under changing flows or variations in supply temperatures. The valve also greatly reduces the outlet flow in the event of a cold water supply failure.

Great for families
Problem: Wife kept running out of hot water, but couldn't risk scalding the children. Solution: Set the water temp to 140 and added this mixing valve to increase reasonably hot water supply from the 40-gallon heat pump heater.

Just What I Needed, When I Needed It

Easy to install. Works great
Very simple to install. Comes in 4 pieces to be assembled. Dont lose gaskets. No need to overtighten. The temperature adjustment is very simple and gradual. Dimensions are about 2 inches longer on each size than most comparable brands.

Save Your Skin, Install This Valve
I used this valve (2 valves total), one for my two bathrooms and one for the kitchen to limit the domestic hot water off my boiler to 120 Degrees. The boiler output is 140-180 degrees, which will give you a nice burn. I like these valves because they have a limited range of 90-120, so they control fairly well. I had another make installed that had a much larger range and it just didn't seem to work as well, once it was set the temp would fluctuate wildly, not with these valves. The temp holds consistently with these valves. The sharkbite connections make installation relatively quick and easy.
