I will be buying Sharkbite fittings often

I'm old, couldn't trust these things, it's to bad we fight change so. On systems that have been in service, these make tie ins and repairs to easy. I'll never try to solder a drippy joint again.

Part U412 is the part you need. The center is 1/2" and the two ends are both 3/4".

Q: I am looking to use these tees with PEX tubing for a seasonal camp. The items will be exposed to cold temperatures down to -20 F. The water would be drained from the piping, but as I have had to replace CPVC piping every year the lines may not be completely drained. Are these products rated for the lower temperatures?

The fittings, as well as the PEX, could break if water freezes inside them. PEX is freeze-resistant, but not freeze-proof.

Q: I need to verify which is the reduced end. I need the 3/4 fittings on each end with the 1/2 reducer to be the middle connections. Please explain before I order

The reduced end is the top end. All tee measurements are formatted as follows: Bigger end x Smaller end x Middle (regardless of size).
