The SF Series actuator requires a 24 Vac, 120 Vac, 208 Vac, or 277 Vac Class-2 supply signal to control Siemens Zone Valves with a 1/10-inch (2.5 mm) stroke.
For use in heating and cooling HVAC applications with Siemens 599 Series Zone Valves that need 24 lb (105N) nominal force.

Dependable and Reliable Valve Actuators
We use these on all of our larger Water Source Heat Pumps for the Condenser Water. Nothing mechanical lasts forever so I've had to replace three or four of the 7 year old originals. The Siemens valve actuators are overall very reliable as compared to some we have from a different manufacturer..

This product is used on a chilled water loop system with 500+ individual air handler units in residential spaces. This complex is less than five years old and has already replaced many of the same actuators as many as 3 times along with the control valves if continuous actuator failures appear. On an average during warm months 20 plus actuators are replaced monthly. Some failures are broken knob/shaft others are broken gear teeth and displaced springs. All working components besides the spring are made of plastic. These actuators have the shortest life span of any I have ever used. You can usually tell when gear teeth go bad by the loud continuous popping sound they make.
