Description
–
Furnish and install this secondary drainage funnel featuring integral 1" air gap and splash guard to dispose of drainage such as condensate. Unit shall have concave front section for use with a washing machine drain line bend support when installed with an Ox Box washing machine drain box. Funnel sections have molded snaps that securely fit together for secure installation and ease of cleaning. Unit shall be manufactured by Sioux Chief Manufacturing Company. Funnel side ridges align with slots in the bottom of the Sioux Chief Ox Box drain box (item # 696-3).

Contractor neglected to install
This drainage funnel was not installed by the builder. Didn't realize something was missing until a neighbor commented that something was missing. Installed the item which was a easy and all is good now.

Well designed, nice product for < 7gpm
I purchased this to get my condensate drains up to code, with a 1" air gap before going into the drain pipe as per our plumbing code.
This unit would work great for low volume drains, like a trickling condensate line from an air conditioner, furnace, or water heater.
I ended up not being able to use mine for my main purpose, which was my water softener. The instructions on this unit specifically say not to use it on anything that exceeds 7 gallons/minute, which they mention means most water softener drains.
