Description

WarmWire floor heat cable is an affordable alternative to radiant heated mats. Using electric heating wire, it provides underfloor heat that helps keep bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways cozy, dry, and safe.

  • New improved wire allows for increased jobsite toughness and durability
  • Wire is easily secured with CableStrap or HeatMatrix uncoupling membrane
  • Constant diameter wire makes installation with HeatMatrix quick and easy
  • Wire spacing can be adjusted to match rooms with different heating needs
  • 25-year warranty for WarmWire, whether used with CableStrap or other manufacturers’ heated floor membranes
  • Complete design freedom
  • Can be used to warm all kinds of floor coverings: ceramic & porcelain tile, stone, wood, laminates, vinyl, or carpet
  • Approved for shower installation where permitted by the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • Constant diameter wire makes securement in uncoupling membranes quick and easy
  • Wire is easily secured at 2.5", 3" or 3.5" spacing with CableStrap
196 ft. cable heats 42 sq. ft. at 2.5" OC (14.4 W/sq. ft), 50 sq. ft. at 3" O.C. (12 W/sq. ft.), or 60 sq. ft. at 3.5" OC (10.3 W/sq. ft.)

WarmWire coverage depends on the selected wire spacing.
  • 2.5" spacing is recommended for high heat loss areas like sunrooms or basement rec rooms.
  • 3” spacing is recommended for kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms over wood-framed subfloors.
  • 3.5" spacing may be used in lower heat loss areas such as hallways.
Specifications:
  • Voltage: 240 V
  • Amps: 2.5
To install, lay out and attach the CableStraps. Fasten the WarmWire to the CableStraps as you weave it back and forth across the floor. Put down a layer of thin-set mortar and set your tile or stone. Install a layer of self-leveling cement over the cables for hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or carpeted floors.

Q: It appears to be the cable only meaning I also need the thermostat sensor, thermostat, installation straps, etc. What does this come with?

Paul, That is correct, it would only be the cable. Please check out this section: https://www.supplyhouse.com/Electric-Radiant-Heat-1139000 for all of your needs.

The sensor is an add on. I think the thermostat I bought came with the sensor.

The sensor is not included with the spools if memory serves me.I think it is included with the thermostat or available to order seperately. I found the spools to work so much easier and better than the mats. You have complete control without the mats.

No, the floor sensor is not included with the spool. It is included with the thermostat.

The spools are just the heating wire, nothing else.

I believe you have to order it separately. By the way order a second one and install it as a backup in case the first one quits.

Q: Does this cable come with the strap and double sided tape to secure it down with?

No.  The cable is just the wire on a spool.  You must also purchase the prefered attachment accessories.

No, you probably have to buy the strap and tape separately. I hot glued mine down and it worked great.

No strap, no tape. These I bought separately.
