The TACO 006 is designed for circulating hot or chilled fresh water in open or closed loop applications. Typical uses include hydronic heating, domestic hot water recirculation, hydro-air heating/cooling, heat recovery units, water source heat pumps, drain down open loop solar systems and potable water applications. The unique, replaceable cartridge contains all of the moving parts and allows for easy service instead of replacing the entire circulator. The compact, low power consumption design is ideal for high efficiency jobs.

I have had this replaced twice in 18 months.
I don't know how people get along without a circulating pump! However I will try another brand next time. Supply house, however is wonderful to deal with, so I will go to them again!

Great product and shipping
I was skeptical about the fasttrack shipping, but item arrived on time and before 5pm. This is a good replacement for the 006-BT4 (bronze version) and they seem identical. I did notice a noise that sounds like a distant mowing or vacuum, but the previous circulator had a broken cartridge that sounded like ball bearings rubbing, so I don't have a good comparison.

Certainly it can. The junction box has a standard knockout that you can install a clamp for BX or Romex, and run that to an external junction box where you could install a switch.

Q: Hello, I just ordered the 006 model circulator pump. I will be using it to run solar hot water panels. Do I need to buy the freedom flanges in order to hook up the tubing?
