006e3 ECM High-Efficiency Hot Water Circulation Pump

I installed this circulator at the end of my domestic hot water loop. It ties-in directly with the cold water supply to the water heater. When it starts, the hot water loop is up on temperature in less than two minutes. Quiet & efficient....couldn't ask for anything more. The circulator is controlled by a Taco temperature aquastat "sold seperately" that works great for my application.

I ordered this hot water circulation pump to replace another brand of pump that had failed on me three times in the last five years. I went with the Taco pump because there was one installed at our vacation home back in 2022 and it's still running strong. I installed the pump myself and had no issues at all with the 1/2" union sweat fitting kit. It sealed up great with no leaks. The key to it sealing good is to just make sure the entrance and exit piping are in line and the gap between them for where the pump goes is correct. Copper pipe doesn't flex so make sure your measurements are correct!

Silent and easy to install. You can select speeds. The lowest speed us usually adequate for hot water recirculation.

Used for getting hot water to the distant bathrooms. Better built than I expected. I recommend getting the unions that they offer. Leak-free install the first time.

Great flow adjustment in hot water recirculating system

I bought this to use with the comfort valve as and alternative to heating the piping under the crawl space. It's running full time right now, which I don't find optimal, but it proves that it's doing as intended. I'm adding a timer to a Honeywell circulator relay that'll activate it for 60 second periods, via "user call" push button, as well as a thermal switch on the pipe in the crawl space that'll kick it on momentarily whenever the piping approaches freeze condition.

I love my 006e3 about as much as a person can love a water pump. Functions perfectly on my recirc system, though I'm still trying to determine the best setting. I appreciate the blue LED; otherwise it's so quiet I wouldn't know if it was running. The only downside is I can't get Alexa to pronounce "Taco" correctly.

I installed this little gem to provide domestic hot water circulation teamed with a Noritz CombiBoiler. It quietly provides reliable flow to trigger the domestic hot water side of the combiboiler and assure hot water at the tap, the furthest nearly 70 feet away. Great addition to the system design that allows tailoring pump delivery to the operation of the system heating.

This pump replaced a quality small German pump that, although efficient, didn't make enough head pressure to move water through a long dedicated recirulation line, a spring check and a mixing valve. This did it with ease and quietly. I recommend a plug in recycle timer set to your systems needs. In this case a cold line was fully hot in under three minutes. I set the timer to run for 2 min. every 15 min. No complaints. The unions (not included) are the same size as taco mixing valve unions. UFS

I ran a lo-flow hot water loop from the boiler to a coil underneath my army surplus diesel genset and enclosure. Happiness is a warm diesel engine.
