Poor Product Description
Purchased this to install a shower mixing valve which has 1/2" threaded connections. While this item is advertised as 1/2" on the sweat side its threaded connection is 1 inch. You are far better off using a 1/2" sweat to thread union than making the transition to 1 inch from 1/2.

Works perfectly with a little adjustment
These are a great alternative to the CxC style union normally used. You may just have to add an a thicker neoprene rubber washer to increase sealing.
