Excellent thermometer
I use this frequently for checking temps in supply and return ducts. It responds reasonably quick to changes in temps. It's not instantaneous but it's not the slowest to respond. The temp probe swings out and locks in different positions. That feature along with the magnet helps it stay in most positions on ductwork without fall off.

Convient but.......
This is a good piece but it does NOT have the HOLD option to hold the air temp on the screen to the customer.

Speaking about the "hold" feature
this temp prob has a max and min button which allows you to hold the temp max or min for the customer to see. there is no need for a hold button.
