Most Liked Positive Review

This will change your life!

Just bought a Force Logic tool and propress fittings. I've been living in a cave! This stuff is incredible! The extra $ for the fittings is worth it. You can stop running water with this. The best part is no flux. This is a real problem that's gonna get dealt with in the future as flux contamination moves to the forefront

Most Liked Negative Review

Terrible

I just dont like it, made out of less then acceptable copper material, which is obvious because of the purple stains on the inside of the fitting. I am been in the PHC field for 39 years now, and this is one of the most disappointing product i have used in quite some time

Fantastic product

I've been using Viega fittings for over 10 years. They fit perfectly and you have no issues with them as with other brands. Pay the extra money for these and you will be glad you did!

Q: Just started using Viega PEX fittings. What fittings are available to connect 1/2" copper tubing to 1/2" PEX tubing? Can my 1/2" press tool make the connection? Thank you from south Louisiana.

There are several propress to pexpress transition fittings available, however you would need both types of press jaws to use them. The fittings can be found here on our site : http://www.supplyhouse.com/PEX-Press-ProPress-Adapters-11961000

You don't clean the fittings but you do clean the pipe ends. The instructions say to just wipe off burs from cutting. I very lightly clean with plumbers sand paper. R

Q: Can these fittings press on to a pro press brass coupling or just copper pipe?

You would need a street elbow, such as 77352 to connect to another propress coupling.

Q: Neat product but what is the track record on ProPress fittings installed in the field as far as leaking and durability? Is there a guarantee or warranty comparable to soldered fittings? Is there a limitation as far as temperature or application(can it be used for heat/boiler piping in commercial settings)?

When properly installed, the connection will last as long as the copper pipe that joins it, which is about 50 years. The warranty on the ProPress fittings is 50 years from the date of installation; for the ProPress valves it is 2 years from the date of installation. The operating temperature range is 0 - 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
