You need the viegra jaws to use this product.
I'm sure it's a good product… but you need to buy the jaws from viega to use it. So it's very expensive if you don't have the jaws already

Supply House. com is a great company to do business with. Service was great, and shipping was fast. The couplings work as described, no leaks. Although you must use the compression tool specific to these couplings. The tool is made by VIEGA. (PureFlow 50020). This model is for 1/2" couplings. There are other sizes.

1/2" PEX Couplings by Viega
Works great. My only grip would be the tool needed to compress these couplings. It's a $200 hand tool made in Germany. Kinda steep for a homeowner that'll probably never use it again. The tool is the best ,and only brand to use. It is also very well made.

Q: Can I use this coupling to connect a pex-al-pex sdr-9 fostapex gray tubing to pex blue tubing? If so do I really need the crimping tool of can I use water pumps or something else?

Verified Reply- SupplyHouse StaffYes, pex press fittings are compatible with both Fostapex and standard pex tubing. You would need to use the special press tools for these fittings, as standard crimp tools are not compatible.
