1" PVC Termination Vent w/ SS Screen

Used this to vent a 1" pvc line out my header joist. Worked great but just wish it didn't have the price tag sticker as I had to clean it off before painting to match my siding.

We have major problems with wasps clogging up our A/C and heater drain lines. It can really cause big problems and damage. Thought I would give these a try and I am so glad I did. I used this on a 1" drain line from my water heater drain pan. It's a big aluminum pan underneath the heater. My hot water heater is elevated in the middle of the house. A water leak means disaster in any direction. Now, if my heater leaks the pan water drains thru a 1" flexible PVC line to the exterior of the house. I used the screen fitting to keep larger critters from having a direct route to the center of the house. I added a flat PVC plate to the end of the fitting. It is held in place by a stainless bolt, hut and spring. So the fitting acts like a check valve. Easy open to drain leakage water. Normally closed to keep out bugs.

I needed a product for a drain termination, that was outside, that would not allow rodents or insects into the house. This product provided that for me. Supply House had it for me when no other place did.
